The European Commission’s simplification package brought adjustments to product scope, an updated Information System and new guidance. What it did not bring is a change to the deadline: EUDR applies from 30 December 2026 for large and medium operators, and from 30 June 2027 for micro and small enterprises.
That gap between what companies believe and what the regulation actually requires is where compliance programmes fall behind. Some teams are still waiting for a delay that is not coming. Others assume simplification means less work, or that responsibility sits entirely with their suppliers.
