It All Started With an Idea
LiveEO began with a simple but powerful belief: if we could see the planet more clearly, we could protect it more effectively. Our founders, inspired by the vast potential of satellite imagery, saw that the same technology used to explore space could be used to solve urgent problems here on Earth.
In 2018, they set out from Berlin with a mission to bridge the gap between complex space technology and the industries that keep our world running. The early days were fueled by curiosity, late nights, and the conviction that Earth observation could be more than data: it could be a force for good.
Today, our solutions monitor thousands of kilometers of power lines, pipelines, and railways, and ensure supply chains remain transparent and compliant with the EU Deforestation Regulation. By combining advanced AI with cutting-edge satellite technology, we help organizations reduce risk, cut costs, and accelerate their journey toward a sustainable future.
Milestones on Our Journey
LiveEO is established in Berlin with a small, dedicated team and a mission to make satellite intelligence accessible for solving real-world infrastructure and environmental challenges.
Deutsche Bahn becomes our first customer, laying the foundation for innovation in railway monitoring and infrastructure protection.
Following close cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, we officially launch Treeline, our AI-powered vegetation management solution for utilities and railways, helping prevent rail service disruptions, reduce outages, mitigate wildfire risks, and lower operational costs.
We open our second European office in Daugavpils, Latvia, bringing key functions such as machine learning, data annotation, and quality assurance in-house. This strategic move strengthens our operational capacity, improves detection accuracy, accelerates product development, and reduces reliance on freelancers, expanding both our European footprint and our ability to innovate quickly.

By 2025, LiveEO is a team of 160+ people from over 30 countries. Backed by over $60M in funding and strong partnerships, we remain united by one mission: protecting the systems that power and connect our world.
